Hartford Courant Series on 9/11 Attacks, Ten Years Later

The Hartford Courant is doing a series on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States.

On the one-year anniversary of the death of Scott Deluzio's brother Steven (right), Scott attends a memorial golf tournament to raise money for a foundation the family set up in Steven's name that provides scholarships.

For one of the articles they interviewed me to try and get a sense of why I joined the military, the sequence of events leading from the pre-9/11 world we once knew, to September 11, 2011, the tragic events on August 22, 2010, and through to the present day.

The article, written by Courant reporter Matt Kauffman, is titled “Called To Service After 9/11” starts with the sentence:

“Scott Deluzio back in Glastonbury, essentially the same person he was 10 years ago, but everything has changed.”
